Yeah. I rarely look at facebook as it is, but on it I'm friends with people like members of my extended family and co-workers, and with my employer's facebook page. It's an entirely real world/family/professional thing. I don't hide being a fannish geek from anyone IRL, but that doesn't mean I'm plastering fandom discussions and linking smut fic all over where my boss and cousins can see it. I also don't want to accidentally get on the bad side of anyone in fandom who goes ballistic on me and they know who I am because we're talking on fricking facebook.
