Text: Now, Voyager is one of my favorite movies. But I always skip the romance parts. Between the makeover, family drama, and above all showing how it's a good and necessary thing to care for your mental health, who needs that nonsense?

B!S I do love Bette Davis herself saying that Charlotte probably married Dr. Jacquith.

Ooooo... this is such a good film and I was not expecting to see anyone talk about it. I agree that the romance was not strictly necessary, as the really compelling stuff involves Charlotte's transformation/liberation in all other aspects. But personally I find Paul Henreid very handsome and charming, so I'm willing to accept it here.

But I definitely agree that Charlotte had equal if not more chemistry with Claude Rains's doctor character as she did with her actual canon love interest and that overall, their dynamic was definitely one of the film's strengths, whether they had gone with a romantic endgame or not.

I loved the extra mile Betty went with all her roles, she's always my favourite to watch. I haven't seen Voyager recently, but if Betty said her character most likely ended up with someone, that's who I believe they ended up with!
