I agree with most of your points, but: good representation lies in variety. An orgy isn't not good representation. And from what I know online, more queer people are into that than you'd know. They're just less likely than monogamous people to talk about their preference in real life, because gee, I wonder why. It's not your thing and it's not mine either, but don't throw "weird" queer people under the bus in your pleas for "normal" monogamous queer representation.

i hear you, i'm just so... tired of people immediately assuming that queer = sex, like the two are inextricably linked. the problem is that there IS so much "queer = nonmonogamous" out there, and MOST of it from queer artists, so it just reinforces the stereotype that we're all a bunch of sex-crazed maniacs who are attempting to sleep with literally everyone. i hate it. i just want a girlfriend and eventually a wife, i don't want sex parties. idk. if people are happy with that, whatever, maybe i'm the weird one.

More straight people are into it, too, though, and it still doesn't take up such a large percentage of heterosexual representation in media.
