Insurance companies suck

[personal profile] philstar22 2019-12-21 05:40 am (UTC)(link)
So I tried to refill my tramadol on Wednesday. Pharmacy said insurance said too soon, would fill on 20th. Today was the 20th, so I tried to fill. Got told it was too soon. What the hell, insurance? I'm not so mean as to wish this pain on you, but you are being unreasonable. Give me one date and then stick to it so at least I know how many days I have to be miserable for.

Ugh, been there all too many times. Insurance companies can all go fuck themselves with something hard and sandpapery. You have my full sympathy.

That's terrible. I couldn't imagine having my insurance regulate my prescriptions, (where I live it's usually a set amount they're willing to cover over a year) like, that's the doctor is for. Tramadol isn't even regulated as far as I know, so they really have no business withholding medication that you actually need. Especially since it's a 'take as you need it' med.
Normally I'd ask for a pre-peat from the pharmacist, or a script from the doctor, but since it's an insurance issue I'm not sure what else you could do. My guess is that the pharmacy mistook the date, but it sucks all the same.
Hopefully they'll get their act together soon, and you get the relief you need! Feel better!
