i feel sorry for ppl who were genuinely disappointed that star wars wasn't going to go there with finn/poe, though i really was not shocked bc it's disney.

but i 100% do not understand the ppl i've seen going: then explain why they were written like that in tfa/tlj!!! ... as if they were written as anything other than a pair of dudes standing next to each other sometimes. be mad disney won't give more than a 10 sec gay-moment between a pair of bg characters, but acting like anything wrt finn/poe was even slightly coded as romantic in the last two movies is reaching to the stars.

additional secret: in all honesty in tfa they barely have anything, and if they'd been 2 white guys ppl would have complained about their initial popularity. i say this as someone who ships and enjoys finn/poe.

Yeah. I mean, I ship it and actually think TROS was pretty good for them but this was not one of those (very very rare) instances were I thought they miiiiight go there and then didn't.

tros gave us some nice moments for shipping purposes tbh! i was happy with those, but there is legit nothing about their interactions that's intended to be romantic. there are legit cases of QB out there, but this isn't one of them.

Do you mind if I ask why you thought so? I ship it like hell, don't get me wrong, but I never really thought they were giving us any hints that it would be anything canon. And that's without going into the meta of "Disney would never."

I've read my post twice now and wonder if people are mis-reading it? Cause I clearly said this was NOT one of those instances were I thought canon might go there? I just said they had some nice (shippy if you want them to be) scenes.
