I'm enjoying it so far. Plots that are a little paint by numbers is how this franchise works, so...

Yeah, but you usually have a character that is charismatic enough to make up for the by-the-numbers plot--a Han Solo, a Leia, an Obi Wan, a Poe. Mando is the personification of "intentionally left blank", and while Baby Yoda is more charismatic, their whole gig gets old fast.

I'm fine with him so far. IMO he's not a complete blank, we see plenty of his character in how he treats people, baby Yoda in particular. I don't find him any more of a blank than Rey or Jynn Erso, and he's got a lot more screen time than Poe.
