One of my first fandom hangouts, when I was a young little fannit. I remember you from the boards. I'm on GAFF now, and I see you around there, too. Funny how you keep running into some people. ;)

I only go back every once in a while to see what new yuri prospects are coming out. But damn, this one user annoys the crap out of me.

It generally is, honestly, but there's always that one person, no matter where you go on teh intarwebz. And the shoujoai.com boards are full of 12/13-year-olds and atrocious grammar and capitalization habits. But it's still better than some of the yaoi boards I've seen :P

NOW I'm even more surprised, since the last place I picture 12-13 year old girls(I assume most of them are girls - you may feel free to give me an internet slap if I'm wrong)to hang out at would be a Shoujo-Ai forum. I don't know, my general view on younger people in fandom, especially young fangirls, have always been that they would be more into yaoi than yuri. Well, at least I'm one prejudice shorter :)

It's mostly comprised of 12/13-year-old lesbians. :P Well, 12-16 would probably be more accurate. There are some women older than that and a few twenty-something men (or there were at one point). Seems like the young lesbian new to fandom gravitates to those boards. I started lurking there when I was 14 or so myself.

Well, that just goes to show my general ignorance -__- I guess I've always thought that, when it comes to sexual preferences, you don't know what you like until you are up in your teens. Of course, there are those who find out much earlier. I Hope I haven't offended you, OP, I wasn't trying to :(

Yeah, you'd like to think that, but at the core of it, there are a lot of drama llamas and 13 year old boys who think that lesbians are t3h hawt, and are in it just for the porn.

I know I'm generalizing with stereotypes, but... I keep remembering one poster who is no longer on the boards. Faked death, faked illnesses, etc etc - all from one poster -__-

*jumps in on conversation* wait, this "death" wouldn't happen to be about a creator is it? Though I remember two different incidents of faked suicide attempts (including one with someone being regulated to one sheet of paper in the hospital so they wouldn't give themselves massive paper cuts :P )

No, no - it was an old forum user (I went through some old threads, and supposedly her account was hacked or somesuch, so that's where the faking of the death came, but she was still batshitcrazy/suicidal).

Boy, 138 stirred up quite a bit of memories and whatnot, lol.
