Anyway, I'm very entertained by it. And isn't that what a movie should be? Entertaining?

And I have so many musical soundtracks on my iPod, my boyfriend groans whenever I want to play it in the car - I think if he hears anything from "Keating" again, he's going to drive into oncoming traffic.

Discovering that I have more musical theatre on both my iPod and my Creative Zen then any other genre was...well, not exactly a revelation, but this is why no one ever wanted to borrow my CDs in high school.

Not only that, but the songs work. The tango sequence is incredible and powerful. The emotions are all there, including the whole gimmick of musicals: "The emotions are so overpowering that they break into song." So, yeah, it's a musical. Not traditional, not using original music, but still a musical, and one that works.
For me, at least.
