Lol, true. I liked him during the bit about catching the children and preserving their innocence too.
He was lazy and self-centered to the point that it was offensive, though, definitely.
Which is why I do think Holden has a fantastic characterization even if I don't like him. He is the very picture of a jaded, seventeen-year-old boy. XD
It's not that I dislike Harry (I mean, I've cared about what happens to him)... he just...irritates me a lot of the time. With his broody, teenage crap and The Chest Monster of Adolescence and some of the remarkably DURRRR things he does. All of which I often excuse since he is a teenage boy with, let's face it, quite a bit to be broody about. Still, that doesn't mean he can't annoy the hell out of me now and then.
