i feel the same about time travel that i do about premonition: it has to reveal something about what the characters involve value. i think its much harder to do this with close futures the more completely the characters know the future, so its gotta be something like watchman (comic) where manhattan has shit context and really knows nothing. the characters have to feel like they're making explicit and free choices even if there's no changing the future.
