A lot of Assassins Creed characters.

Desmond is probably the biggest one. I heard that Ubisoft was getting a lot of complaints about players not liking the modern day segments, and they wanted to release the game on the day where the world was going to end, but there's no excuse for Desmond to have an end like that. Even the shoddy attempt to repair his relationship with his abusive father who he absolutely hated was terrible. We spent like five games following his storyline and all of it was just for nothing. Terrible.

Lucy, from the first game. There was so much potential with her twist, that they just didn't do anything with. I think we got more context from the manual (which was really cleverly done like report with notes from her and Warric) than we did from the gameplay.

Yusif is obvious. The whole romance drama in Revelations with Ezio was painful to watch, and for Yusif to just die protecting some random woman nobody cares about was so stupid. She didn't even need to be there since Ezio is seen to have relations with a number of different women. I hated it.

And Malik. Just dies offscreen randomly without a second thought.
