Casual House fan here who is a season behind (it's aired later in my country). They finally kissed after 5 years of UST and this surprises fandom? Wow... I don't even care about who is boinking who in that series. But wow... People should have seen it coming miles away.

I thought it would never happen because it was taking so long. You know?

Because they are clearly setting them to long-term for a while or to build them *shrugs*. They wouldn't ruin the UST which is one of the key to resolve it in the first years and then throw it away (They used and discarded Cameron/House for that).

Eh, they seem to go for House/Cuddy occasionally and then let nothing come of it. I don't know. I honestly can see the writers of House putting House and Wilson together, to tell the truth, just not any time soon.

Fans honestly believe House/Wilson will ever happen in canon? Okaaaaaay.

They've talked about it in writer interviews, and Hugh Laurie said he was "game" when asked by a fan. Any other show, I'd say no, it won't happen, but on this one? Maybe. If they didn't think it would put them at risk for a drop in ratings or being canceled, I think they'd do it.

I don't mind that they kissed. I just really, really hated the way that it happened. It was completely out of nowhere, unrealistic, and unsatisfying, especially since they're leaving so much unaddressed and have been steadily breaking down the sexual tension they built up in seasons 1 and 2.

The batch of secret made me youtube the "infamous" kiss scene. Seems pretty well done. They didn't aim to sexy or pretty, they aimed at emotional and vulnerable. For what I read in the seasons synopsis (not watched yet, fifth season would begin soon), both of them got their brush with personal losses and troubles enough to make them drop their defenses for a moment.

I don't believe that kiss alone would make them stop having UST or have a relationship/marry/etc next episode (whoever believes that is delusional IMO), it's going to add more fuel to the fire and the creators would milk it.

I would agree in the first two seasons, but the relationship changed in season 3, it clearly upped Cuddy to more than just a "hottie" House hit on. They even distanced the other potential love interest (Cameron) and added a female character who is more interested on girls (Thirteen). I don't reaaally think that is a random choice. Not sure how I'll like it, when I get to watch it in Universal, I'll just wait and see. I overall hate the Cuddy's baby plot (love Cuddy, hate the creators can't think anything else to show about her).

I don't think it's a random choice either - just that this is a very poorly written episode.

I hate the Cuddy's baby subplot, so no disagreement from me. I'm just amused at the NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!1! reaction over the kiss and not the badness of the episode overall!
