first of, wow, thanks. I appreciate it. secondly, superman was created by two dudes from new york. he's not a myth. myths are pretty much all over the place as far as "FACTS" go, so go tell the Chinese that their hopping vampires don't fit your vision of "canon" vampire behavior, K?

Superman was created by Siegel and Shuster, yes, but the Superman mythos was developed and added to many different writers and artists throughout out the years (e.g. kryptonite was invented by the radio show) And we're not talking about different cultures' definitions of vampires, we're talking about one woman who made vampires ~*~sparkle~*~ and admitted to doing no research into vampire folklore before she wrote her books.

My point is that if you use the word "vampire", the beings you are labeling should bear some resemblance to other vampires beyond just blood-drinking.

Well, according to my ex-boyfriend, not all vampires even drink blood. Some have otherways of draining energy...I dunno, I never was really into vampires.
