Tea's not bad for you. It's got some caffine in it, but it's loaded with antioxidants. I mean, if you pour heaps of sugar in it its no good, but then again, that happens with everything once you add too much sugar.

You get more antioxidants from blueberries and pomegranates. Tea actually stains the liver and kidneys, esp. when you drink it more than water and aren't extremely active. I was definitely skeptical at first when I was told that, but then I tested it out by substituting more water for when I felt the urge for tea. The difference was most notable in my immune system, which repaired all the minor scrapes and scratches inside a day instead of a week. Considering that was the only change to my regular routine, that settled it for me.

I'm not saying I'm an expert or anything, and believe me, I love tea--esp. Chai. But my health is a hundredfold better since I stopped drinking it, so...D:

Well, yeah, drinking it more than water isn't good, but you're supposed to drink a lot of water - it is, after all, the BEST thing for you. (I'm really bad at that, though - unless I use those little Crystal Lite flavour thingies. How bad are those for you, do you know?) But I took up tea as a substitute for sodas, which I used to drink about 4 a day, so it definitely helped my health, anyway. XD

Honestly I've been trying to drink V8 in substitution to tea, but since it's weird to drink more than one of those a day, it's not working out so well. :x

Oh absolutely--and I agree, it's hard for me to drink water, even though I KNOW it's good for me! All through my years in grade school, we were given very limited water/bathroom breaks, so I just adapted to needing less throughout the day. Now when I learned you're supposed to drink close to a gallon a day, I was all O_o...

As far as Crystal Lite goes, I think those aren't too terrible, unless they're using splenda or something like that. Personally, I just toss fresh fruit bits into my water. Not only does it train me to drink more water (if I want to get at the fruit), but for some reason, it's aesthetically appealing as well! XD

Haha, I know what you mean! I'm not nearly thirsty enough during the day to drink all the water I'm supposed to! XD (I blame growing up in public school, too. It's also why I eat quickly and I don't need to go to the bathroom a lot. Haha)
