(Anonymous) 2019-12-31 01:03 am (UTC)(link)1) why wouldn’t they reuse assets. Most of the industry does this, that’s why they’re there.
And 2) nomura is 1 person. You wanna blame anyone blame square for their gross mismanagement and constantly throwing nomura on 5 bazillion projects, demanding he finish 1 project before he moves on to the next, then getting impatient when he doesn’t,
scrapping years worth of work and then cutting corners to meet deadlines they couldn’t fulfill from day one. He’s a hack writer for sure but square can’t manage worth shit seeing as how FFXV almost fucking bankrupt them. Again.

(Anonymous) 2019-12-31 03:35 am (UTC)(link)It didn't, I'm really not sure why they think so. It's classic Squeenix bullshit, sure, but it's not actually XV's fault. XV has sold 8.1 million copies, which is a raging success for the series, and every small amount of merchandise that was released also sold like hotcakes. However: drama, seniority issues, and infighting occurred, the director "stepped down" (read as: he was forced out) when the last wave of DLC was supposed to drop, and now Squeenix treats XV as the redheaded stepchild of the series and pretends none of that ever happened. They had a rough year entirely because of their own choices.

(Anonymous) 2019-12-31 03:38 am (UTC)(link)I heard the director was fired and that cancelled some of the planned DLCs? (I'd heard there would be an Episode Luna for example?)

(Anonymous) 2019-12-31 02:59 am (UTC)(link)I've replayed this game at least 50 times and I only took that staircase the first two play through.

(Anonymous) 2019-12-31 11:31 pm (UTC)(link)Because we all know how it goes when they things are remade, especially because it needs to be more compilation-compliant: they change a lot of important script parts, keep those small little things that made the whole shine out of it, and more often than not dumb down the whole thing for the sake of improved graphics/era-adequate gameplay etc. But what scares me the most is that the fandom becomes ridden with a different canon, yes.
Not gonna lie, I'm scared.
