Promare isn't anime-styled, it's actually anime. And there's almost always at least one token anime film in the Oscar noms. Everyone knows it's going to lose, but it always happens. However those films are usually Ghibli/Miyazaki-like fare, so Promare not getting a nomination isn't too surprising.
