I'll tell you what does; being made to feel guilty over not wearing a fucking "I voted" button.

Because why do I need to advertise that I fucking voted? Why do I need to conform to the belief that 'if I don't wear it, people won't automatically know I voted and OMG they might not like me because of it'???? I voted for Obama, and I don't wear the sticker either. And you know what? Before I voted, when I answered "No, I've haven't yet," all I got was "do iiiit, this election is really important, make sure you get out and vote!" WHICH IS TRUE. NO MATTER WHO YOU'RE VOTING FOR IT'S TRUE. THIS IS NOT SIMPLY A "VOTE-FOR-OBAMA" MESSAGE IF THEY DON'T TELL YOU TO GO OUT AND VOTE SPECIFICALLY FOR OBAMA.

And now that I have voted, and I'm not wearing my sticker, I get asked if I've voted, and just say "Yep!" And guess what? They shut up. If this is a mob mentality, it's a mob of people who care about what direction this country's headed in, not just Obama supporters. Because guess what? McCain supporters have asked me too, shock!

Either way, neither candidate is the goddamned Hitler. :|

Yes, I can see how that is exactly the same as being forced to wear the yellow patch. That is real oppression, I truly feel for you.

Fight mob mentality by speaking out for yourself - i.e. explaining why you don't feel the need to advertise your voting status, engage in intelligent debates about your candidate's leadership ability - not by making false comparisons to one of the greatest human tragedies of the last century. It is not "edgy" or "nonconformist" to display stupidity and classlessness.
