Ruby and Meg are extremely minor alternate reality characters. I didn’t even know who Meg was before looking her up.

Cable, Stryfe, and X-Man are all different versions of the same character.

And none of those characters are new.

Beyond the ridiculousness of Cyclops, in the DC Universe I LOATHE the sidelining of long term characters for Daddy's Biological Child characters like Damien and Jon. Did the writers all suddenly have families and decide that they wanted perfect little comic book family rep? I really don't get the trend that all these new characters have to be somehow related to everyone else.

And they're all related to Scott who has to be the most annoying character in any universe, so the gene's are already screwed. If they're going to have a bunch of kids, at least have them related to competent/decent/likeable characters.
