Yeah, I would probably have agreed with you if you hadn't gone and played victimized Christian card. Next time, keep in mind that there is nothing quite as annoying as majority groups whining about all the haters on the internet.

I am the LAST person to call Christians oppressed, BUT...

We don't even know if the OP IS a Christian.

And I am an SPN fan who is sick of listening to people in the SPN fandom bitch because SPN is largely based in Abrahamic (Christian, Jewish, Islamic) mythos and they want it to be Pagan and they're mad because witches aren't good and Lilith was evil and paganism isn't presented as equally good and powerful and it's basically not Buffy OMG BUTTHURT. Whereas as a Jewish occult-studyin' weird-history masters' degree holder, I think it's kind of awesome that it is not Generic Pagan Fantasy/Horror and is actually based in real-world religions. (Although, last week's was BAD. Sam HAIN. NO JUST NO. I generally love the mythos of the show but last week was epic fail. anyway I digress...)

So. Whether the God of SPN turns out to be Gnostic and kinda evil (I sometimes think they're going this way), Jewish or Islamic (this is so not happening), or Christian (most likely) I would like to see Dean get some faith. He could use the moral courage it would give him to deal with the shit the demons throw at him. As long as it's not blind stupid hateful faith of the Yes on Prop 8 variety, I want it to happen. And I am SO NOT CHRISTIAN.

Fair point, and one that I managed to overlook. Probably reflex after too many years spent on the internet where people tend to get awfully defensive when it turns out that Dawkins isn't the only person in the western world critical of Christianity. I still assume that the OP is a Christian, because these kinds of secrets would usually be prefaced with something about "so not being a Christian, but..." if that was not the case. But in theory, you ARE right, and as I said in the original answer: I might even have agreed if the tone hadn't put me off.
