135. I think you missed the point of that secret. They're not saying it's disgusting for someone to be a homosexual, they're saying it's wrong to claim something to be seriously true (especially when it's a private matter like sexual orientation) when there's no way of telling for sure.

It's okay to go, "Aw, they're really close and kind of cute together, I wouldn't be surprised if they were dating" because that's sort of lighthearted ribbing. It's totally different to go, "You're gay. And there's nothing anyone else can say to convince me otherwise. The end." which is what some of these fangirls are doing and that's just weird.

I mean, it'd be the same thing if it wasn't about homosexuality and was, say, shipping one actor with an actress just because they're really friendly with each other. Joking that they might be dating is perfectly acceptable. It is not okay to start believing that that is the God's Honest Truth. Failing to draw that line is just makes you look delusional and crazy.

Pfft, people have been speculating about the romantic entanglements of celebrities since forever. It's harmless; what fans believe has pretty much no impact. Unlike, for example, the drivel that's published in the tabloids.

The reason I interpreted the secret the way I did was because the OP was focusing so much on him not being gay, and less on his potential relationship with Jared specifically. When text is the sole means of communication, you have to be very specific if you don't want to be misunderstood.

I don't think that was the point of the poster's secret. It's not really fan's business whether he's gay or straight. Yet there are fans who believe that the one and only truth is that he's gay and they can be just as foaming at the mouth crazy as the poster (who is angry much?).

Yeah, but what does a fan's opinion matter in the long run? I find it armless. Tabloids are far worse. Not to mention I don't think that suspecting a relationship between two people who are very close, and just moved in together is that insane. yeah, it proves nothing, but it's not like people suggested they're cannibals from outer space.

Also, you have to be specific if you don't want to be misunderstood online. If the OP had talked specifically about his relationship, and not about him definitely not being closeted, my god, how could you think that? I wouldn't have reacted. Well, except for thinking the OP was being a bit silly.

These people are actually GETTING ANGRY at him for not coming out of the closet. And being serious about it. WHAT?
