In other semi-related news, the power actually went out the other day for like ten full minutes. I was navigating my house with one of those headlamps, like what rockclimbers attach to their helmets, until the lights came back on. I was checking to see what kind of batteries it took, just in case I needed it later on, and on the batterypack was a warning that said it could cause 'birth defects and reproductive harm'... and they expect me to wear this on my head?! I takes AAA batteries. If power konks back out, I'll be using my handheld flashlights, but if all those die, around my waist it'll go! Who want's kids anyways...

Smart move! After all, if the batteries leak and if your brain leaks out your ear and licks the battery packs, the teratogenic chemicals in the batteries could cause the developing fetus in your brain to form incorrectly.
