As a Mohinder fan, I never had any illusions that sometimes he didn't make the best decisions. I think the fact that I love him despite the rash choices he makes isn't a bad thing, but I understand where you're coming from... it annoys me when Mohinder gets bashed for being an "idiot" when no one seems to comment on Peter's epic fail.

Every character makes mistakes *shrug*

One of the reasons why I find hard to watch Heroes now, even if I love it is because it seems that since... the last three episodes of season 1, everyone has been hit with the idiot stick. From Isaac who could paint the future letting himself get killed because he supposedly knew how Sylar was beaten (Even if Sylar *wasn't* quite beaten, to Matt who forgets every now and then that he can read minds, to Peter who deserves a very special encyclopedia of all the mistakes he has made... it looks as if everyone just acts the way the plot requires them to act and not as a character with their experience/education would act... and unfortunately, is more obvious in Mohinder who is supposed to be if not a genius, at least pretty damn smarter than the rest of the cast.

That said, I still think Hiro is the one currently winning the 'Most idiotic decision ever' in S3

Yeah, I kind of have to agree with that. It's very much plot-driven rather than character-driven and because of that, things like "Oh yeah, so-and-so has a power that could immediately fix/avert this entire situation!" get ignored because, well, then there would be no story. I guess it's the writers fault, but I understand that it is difficult, especially when you have people like Hiro with powers that are SO ridiculous.

Re: Mohinder being smart, yes that's true, but he's very book smart. He's a brilliant geneticist, but that doesn't mean he can change a tire, you know? He's kind of socially retarded ;) bless his little heart.

...so is one of my bosses, and he wouldn't shoot himself up with something he JUST isolated from a subject whose history he barely knows just to see what it would do.

Mohinder is not even smart any more when it comes to his own work. This is why I'm done with S3.
