Ah yes, another person who seems to think that their own opinion is either a) more valid or b) shared by everyone else. Humour is subjective. You don't get to say he's not funny without qualifying it.

i.e. You cannot state as fact what is opinion. You must, therefore, qualify it with an additional phrase or word so that it can be distinguished. Fact = can be proven. Opinion = what you think.

e.g Barack Obama is the President-Elect of America. FACT: Can be proven with many, many statistics.
Barack Obama is a socialist. UNQUALIFIED OPINION: No proof to back it up.
Barack Obama is a socialist, I believe. OPINION

Previous anon had a point. You were stating an opinion while making it out to be a fact.

Whether or not this is a trivial point to quibble over is debatable, but I believe (see? Qualifier) that you refusing to admit that it was, indeed, an opinion makes you sound much more butthurt than the anon.

Let me mention that tomoeish didn't say you couldn't find him funny. Not everyone is going to tag "in my opinion" onto every opinion they have.

And just to clarify: In my opinion, Jon Stewart is funny. It is a fact, however, that not everyone will love him.
