That's fair, OP!

It was poorly cast.

That's a fair reason for not watching it anymore. I'll be honest though. I wasn't keen on Wayward Sisters. I love Jody and Donna, but I didn't like any of the girls.

Me too, other anon. I liked Alex but not really the other ones. I love Jody and Donna enough to "suffer" the other characters, though.

Awww, I know the feeling. I loved the spin-off ep, and really wanted it to happen.
I do still watch, but....yeah. Sucks.

It would have softened the anger I feel towards how the main show ended if there had been a spinoff full of great female characters to look forward to

They finally figured out how to write women who wouldn't turn into hate targets for the audience, and only killed 1 percent of them off, and racially diverse and possibly queer and different ages and weights and...! But the audience who would've really loved that spinoff was driven away years ago and imo they waited too long. If people were losing interest in SPN they weren't going to go for a spinoff.

I don't think that's true about the audience not coming back for this. I saw that a lot of former fans watched the episode, or at least the claimed to. I think the fact of the matter is that the people who watch for Dean, Sam, and Cas are much, much bigger than the people who watch for the side female characters. Also while most people love Judy and think Donna is great, not everyone likes the younger characters. Claire is especially conversational.
