I agree that there are people who do this and I roll my eyes at them (a friend of mine kept complaining about getting tricked into romancing characters in Dragon Age 2 and Inquistion -how it infringed on her asexual purity or some shit. Don't get me wrong, I'm asexual myself, but no, the games don't force you into romances, you were just too stupid to not click on the bloody GLOWING heart button in the dialogue options).

HOWEVER there are absolutely games that get your character into romances without you knowing/noticing it, either due to glitches or real bad romance mechanics. Cases in point: The glitch in ME like the other anon mentioned; the glitch/faulty mechanic in Dragon Age Origins (where you were accused by Leliana for cheating on her with others even though you never romanced her) and my favourite example: the weird and broken as fuck "romance" system in Dragon's Dogma, where just doing fetch quests could get you, for example, an old creepy merchant or his seriously underage daughter as a plot relevant love interest if you weren't careful.
