What is everyone doing?

I will be playing some games with my nephew tonight. Tomorrow I will FINALLY finish the scarf I am making for my sister. I just need to add the fringe. Not sure what I will work on next.

I woke up this morning feeling icky and with a sore throat. Probably have a cold. So my plans mostly involve sleeping. A hot bath or two with some of the Vicks mentho shower things my mom got me for Christmas. Just going to take it easy.

If I watch something, it will either be stuff on Youtube or Judging Amy.

Yeah, I feel like I have had a sore throat on and off for months now. I hope you feel better!

Blood clot anon: be in pain. I'm meant to be keeping mobile, but holy fuck this hurts so much. I couldn't sleep last night until I got up at 1am to go find the codeine :/
And the GP didn't even give me a prescription for painkillers? Did I perhaps not communicate clearly how much pain I was in? ...that might be it, actually. But I don't want to make a new appointment to see her and get a script for painkillers, it's $54 a go and their parking is shit :c

Oh no. What is the long term prognosis? I am not sure how blood clots are treated.

I take blood thinners until I run out of blood thinners, basically. I have another appointment in three weeks. I can only hope it goes away well before then.

Elevate your leg. A lot of the pain from a blood clot is caused by the impaired circulation, and elevation will help with that. It will also help prevent pooling of blood, which could cause further clotting (also the reason the doctor would've told you to keep mobile).

The doctor probably didn't prescribe you painkillers because she wants you to notice any significant increase in pain, or any new pain in another area, since either is a sign to get to the hospital quickly.

ayrt - unfortunately elevating my leg is *very* painful, but I will try to keep shuffling around the house when I can. The doctor didn't tell me to get to hospital if the pain changed or moved, but that's something to keep an eye out for. My right hip was hurting today, but I might have been imagining it?

Being depressed about my facial anomalies, watching Netflix, and eating soup to stay warm. Worrying about two homeless women (mother and daughter) that I follow on Twitter, that they won't freeze to death in the bitter cold this week. Please help them get into a hotel! They've been living in their car for the past four years since being wrongfully evicted and the mom's disabled, and Social Services in their town (AND their town/county) are useless and corrupt!

So they just steal peoples wifi, and beg for money online? That's interesting.

How do they steal people's WiFi? They have phones and live off of very little food stamps and one slim disability check; their car's parked at a gas station.

Also: the mom can't work and the daughter lost her job when the manager found out she was homeless and living in a car! She worked a total of three days.
The mother has ailments and needs help half the time. Don't be a fucking douchebag, anonymous troll.

They also occasionally beg for whatever food's left over from KFC at the end of the night and go to a food bank once a month because they're limited to 1X! Even the churches don't help much. They're stuck in a bad area.

Oh dear. Have they tried posting their story someone on a place like Reddit's assistance subreddit?

I am not sure they know about that. My Twitter is private so they don't know that I follow them, so I can't tell them. Social Services keeps telling them that they must want to be homeless because they won't enter into the filthy hotel full of people that smoke and full of sex offenders that they will place them in. The mother gets sick from secondhand smoke and filth. It's very sad. They've tried Tweeting Oprah and Ellen but they're just ignored.
