So does everyone being straight, that doesn't stop them from making that be 905 of media.

This is true, which makes everyone being gay still boring. I like at least some sort of diversity, or a realistic split on the intentions/interests of the characters.

I can think of maybe a couple of examples of everyone being gay. It just isn't done. So I don't see the harm it happening a few more times given how overwhelmingly straight media is.

Yeah, that's fair. It'd definitely catch my interest to hear of a show that had exclusively gay characters, for sure. My attention span be damned, it would be very interesting to hear about, even if I could possibly get bored of the romances after a while. Optimally, I would love to see it switched where there's just a token straight friend who hangs out in the background casually mentioning how straight they are. It'd be hilarious if nothing else.
Really though, I think I'm just bored of seeing so often in fic. I've been a fan of slash almost exclusively for so long that I've just exhausted myself with it I think. I ended up getting so annoyed at the Newsies fandom because they go so hardcore with it that pretty much every fic has the 'everyone is gay' tag. At one point I would have been so excited at that, but now I'm just rolling my eyes over the whole thing.

Late response, but I don't need gay relationships to be particularly novel on account of them being gay? I want everyone gay because I'm gay and I'm tired to hell of the 100% saturation of het relationships that I can't at all relate to. Like, gay isn't the interesting part; the relationship is the interesting part, I just want it gay.
