No, you clearly have no idea what you're talking about. Everybody changes their options to suit their preference, most games start with customization for display size, brightness, and thus forth. It's common sense.
What people actually get huffy about is playing a game on super easy/story mode, or playing on a computer with literal hacks. Even then those people only exist around FPS's, or games like Dark Souls. Not to mention why would some random persons bullshit opinion matter to anyone who just plays the game for fun? Co-op/multiplayer is almost exclusively optional, only the offensive based games have them.
Nobody who pays Harvest Moon goes around screaming at people to 'get gud', and as I already said, not every game is Skyrim. Play Journey, or Flower, games meant to calm/relax you. There will always be people who criticize any type of media. Do you run in fear whenever you see anime/an anime styled show? Too afraid to look at it because someone might can you a weeaboo? No, because excluding an entire type of media based on an opinion someone you don't even need to interact with, is just plain stupid.
