And yet you're the one still refusing to acknowledge anything that I've said, when my original question was essentially how is playing videogames any different than any other hobby. Continually ignoring the actual topic of conversation is no way to actually have a conversation.

How about I make it simple for you. Do you consider (in general) videogames to be a valid hobby, no different than any other interest? Yes or no question.
I've said a number of times that you don't have to like them, you don't have to play them, this isn't about that.
