I'm usually all in favor of working with official translations, but the Reborn manga's official translation honestly makes me want to wonder what the fuck kind of crack they were smoking. >>;;

It makes me hope that if the rumors about Funimation getting the anime are true, they don't fuck it up as badly as Viz did the manga ;)

Wait? I thought they fixed that once the fanbook came out (yeah, even they don't get the official spellings before the fans). But the Viz translation of Reborn is full of when they misspelled Kokuyou as Kuroyou and does this multiple times. What kind of special fail that took?

Did they? I don't know if they changed Dino's name or not. I only have volume 4 and it's Chivarrone.

I think the English Vol. 4 came out before the fanbook (the English volume 4 was published sometimes in the summer of 2007, the fanbook came out in September or October 2007), so they wouldn't know then, we'll see when Dino makes a reappearance in the Varia Rings Arc.

But Viz usually fix it when the official spellings come out like they did for D.Gray-man.
