I ship them though I see where the OPis coming from. I actually like some teacher/student ships, like Scum Villain, or those fics where Harry adopts Riddle. I mean Goku has lived for a thousand years so he's not really a kid. I like him more grown up in fic anyway.

It's less about his age for me, since he is an adult for most of the series and Sanzo's only 5 years older than him, and more just the nature of their relationship, as close as it is, strikes me as much more familial than anything else.
