Oh, that's heartbreaking. :( It's lovely they still spent time together but it's so sad to think about. Michael Palin is my favorite Python member.

Earlier this week he got a special recognition award at the National Television Awards (admittedly not exactly top-tier awards overall) and spent most of his acceptance speech talking about Terry Jones. Michael Palin really is one of those people where you think he's too sweet for this world.

I dug up an old article in my searching a few days ago that was jointly done by Palin and I think Jones's daughter. Terry already couldn't speak much by the point of the interview and the journalist noted toward the end that there was a moment where he silently reached over and grabbed Palin's hand and kept hold of it for several moments. My heart shattered!

The whole thing is pretty sad but the fact they took the opportunity to raise awareness was quite brave under the circumstances.
