It's been years since this film came out and I still feel uncomfortable telling people that i disliked it. I'm not a misogynist or a traitor to my gender, I just think this movie made the mistake of being too much of a dumb comedy.

I didn't hate it, I just disliked it.
I think I would have enjoyed it a lot more if they'd toned down the humour. A lot of the jokes missed the mark for me and in some places they weren't given enough time to land.

All four female characters have been written with such strong personalities and I think the writing did them a disservice by not letting things just breathe sometimes.

I was one of the people excited about the new film that's been announced... until I saw the trailer. I'm 100% done with 80s nostalgia and having one of the stranger things kids in it just feels like a cheep shot.

I mean, sure, sometimes comedies don't land for individual people. But there's nothing wrong with it being a dumb comedy--the original sure was.

Absolutely, humour is subjective and everyone is going to have a slightly differing opinion.

Just like how I personally wouldn't label the original movie a dumb comedy but would absolutely label the second one dumb.
