It was actually enjoyable. It's not that deep.

I think that's a little harsh, we all lived through the promotion and fallout from the movie. It was a dumpster fire. Discourse was war-like.

They're only pointing out that you can still get a lot of flack for saying that you disliked this movie.

You say it's not that deep but I bet that this secret will be the one with the most comments today. Because it may not be deep, but it's still a raw nerve.

AYRT you can also still get a lot of flack for saying that you liked it. It's a raw nerve on both sides, and I think it's just as harsh to say that people are just lying about liking it to avoid flames, especially when sooooo many people were so loud about how it was the worst.

Still blows my mind how much discourse it creates now.

Its a genuine shame that it didnt get the chance to hit the box office without all the bias. We'll never know just how well it could have performed.

I mean, we're measuring against MDZS (which I personally am baffled by, not that things need to make sense to me), a thoroughly dead fandom, an obscure Netflix comedy show, and an indie horror movie, so it's not maybe the best comparison.

That said, like, implying that people who say they like the movie are lying because they're afraid of being yelled at isn't really a comment designed to keep the peace and tamp down the flames

My apologies, I was making a counterpoint about the misogynist generalisation.

I didn't intend to claim that nobody truly enjoys this film and that everyone just does it out of fear.
