I feel exactly the same way!

I used to watch our VHS tape so often, the label got discolored from handling. I thought the remake was wonderful. Even if I hadn't loved it... some people just need to loosen up, you know? If something can be special and important to me as a kid and I can manage not to flip my shit when it gets remade, continued, or reimagined, then other people can too.
