The problem is that it gets overdone.

I wanted to see a female ghost buster, but why does it always have to be all or nothing? What's wrong with having two women on a four person team, for example. And why does there always have to be man-bashing in some of these remakes, new takes? I hate that shit. I want to see a character, a ghost buster, a jedi, so on, who just happens to be a woman.

Don't even get me started on Rey. It irritated me for years that the only speaking female Jedi in the first six movies was the old librarian. I wanted to see a female Jedi, one who just didn't flail her arms at something like Order 66, but fought back. But with Rey there wasn't even a proper hero's journey. She was too perfect. Unrelatable.
As if the writers were scared to give her some character flaws, or some real struggle like what Luke had to undergo.

This kind of stuff makes women seem weak. And I don't enjoy it.

No, sorry, it does have to be all women. That's the rules.

It was all men before, why shouldn't it be all women for this one?

All-female teams are not overdone, FFS.

Haha yeah Luke struggled so hard! Because he fell in a trash pit once? That was his big struggle? Everything he did was touched with gold.
