What're we up to tonight?

I'm currently grading some exams - what the hell is it about this semester's batch of students that makes them pretty much incapable of direclty answering a question? I keep having to write things like "correct, but not an answer to the question" and I can just FEEL the mob gathering to argue for half-points at my office hour... but, you know, if I ask you to define X and give an example, then you need to both give a definition of X and give an example. It's not that "Z cointed the term X" isn't true, it's that it... doesn't answer what I asked.

Just sat through an hour of heavy traffic and now I have to sit in class for another three hours. My back is killing me.

I was lazy all day and then suddenly remembered all the stuff I have to do. Some of it will get done.

Today has been a day. I didn't get home until 8:30 PM, and I'm so exhausted. I just took a shower and now opened my computer.

I had a telephonic hearing that was supposed to be sometime between 8 and 10. That court never called. I waited. At 10:30 I was asked to cover a 1 o'clock hearing. I said sure. Only I sat and sat in the courtroom because the judge was being difficult about the order of who went when. I didn't get to go up to the bench until 4:30. Then I had to file some things and then go back to the office to drop off files.

I was supposed to give a practice interview at around 6. This morning the person who was supposed to be leading our Toastmaster meeting also begged me to lead because he couldn't be there at the last minute and no one else would cover.

What did I eat today before dinner at 8:45? 1 cup of coffee this morning and then 1 bagel at 5:15 because I stopped at Starbucks on the way from the office to my meeting. Of course, traffic was terrible and I was late to the meeting I was supposed to lead.

Interview went well I think, and I got some good pointers. But after my exhausting day and 2 previous nights of about 4 hours sleep each, I'm sitting here in my bed close to tears. My foot hurts, my back hurts, and I can't quiet my brain down to sleep yet.

Figured out how to connect a laptop to my tv. Streamed two episodes of Star Trek the Animated Series. Drank hot cocoa.

I went to a lawyer and drew up a will! It cost 270 EUR including digital storage. I'd bern nervous, so I felt very proud of myself. Hopefully, I have 40-50 years left, but I feel like I've taken back a bit control from my fear of death.

Need to write my thesis and am panicking. Have to contact my prof because of a formality but I'm panicking because I have this weird thought he'll say "oh sure, btw show my what you've written so far" which is ... not much.
I only have myself to blame and I know it. Only makes things worse though.

Hey, so I remember back in the height of the Harry Potter fandom, having weird pairings was almost a sport - think the oddest I saw was Snape/Womping Willow - and yeah, most of it was crackfic but there'd be these gorgeous things that somehow made the maddest stuff work and make sense - and for that I'd have to mention a Snape/Prof.Kettleburn series that was honestly gorgeous. Now (at least in the fandoms I'm in) there seem to just be a few set pairs and that's that - not so much a wild free-for-all and more of a paint-by-numbers situation.

So, bring out the weirdness, fandom secrets! Oddest pairs (HP or otherwise), go!

It was a long time ago, but it was an interesting story.

There was a Jason/Calvin (FoxTrot/Calvin and Hobbs) fic set in college.

I did read a Harry Potter/Mycroft Holmes fic that was pretty good.

As for non-crossover pairings, maybe Daniel Jackson/Chaka (Stargate SG-1).

Thinking about it, I'm not sure there's been a major Teen Wolf character that Stiles Stilinski hasn't been paired with.

I'm not sure if it counts so much as fic, but I remember an RP I was in where Cloud from FFVII and Judith from Tales of Vesperia were a couple, and it was honestly very sweet. I read a few of their threads and it was a really believable relationship, and they were both very in-character at the same time. I loved that.

I also once wrote Santa Claus x the White Witch from Narnia but Santa Claus is a canon character there so maybe that's not all that weird.

Not sure if it even counts because they’re pairings of specific OOC versions of characters from different notable fanfics...actually, that probably just makes it weirder...but in one fic, Ron and Harry both jump on the selfcest express..

I also for some reason have read Donald Trump x Supreme Leader Snoke mpreg. In my defense I was looking for Crubio

It isn't weird to me, but some probably think it is: Doctor Strange/Cloak of Levitation.

Sauron/Frodo. There is also a consensual Bilbo/One Ring/Sauron fic out there that is surprisingly supposed to be good. Where they get married supposedly. Not my cup of tea at all.

I was never in the HP fandom, but apparently there was a Dobby/Sorting Hat fic, prompting someone on tumblr to provide the theoretical summary, "Dobby had always wanted clothes, but never like this."
