You'll have to take it up with the subset of those fandoms that think White people shouldn't write or ship non-white people, or who will call out anything White people write as 'problematic'. I can't speak for others, but fandom is my escape, my safe space. The last thing I want to deal when I'm in my safe space is a bunch of people calling me a monster because my shmoopy angsty vent fic that I wrote at 2am had something 'problematic' in it.

Even if you're not white, nobody wants to have to prove who they are just to post fanfic.
