Perfect picture, nonny.

Was just going to say the same thing :D. It made me laugh.

Honestly, my response was to stop caring so much how TV shows end

Totally don't blame you, OP.

It's so disappointing when TPTB drop the ball. Is it really that hard to create a satisfying ending, or at least one that doesn't disrespect the characters or story (not to mention the dedicated fans)? It must be.

Let’s face it, Dexter was shitting the bed as early as season 2.

The earlier seasons at least had some redeeming qualities, but the final season was on an entirely new level.

makes sense. I'm even more annoyed at shows being cancelled prematurely than the jumping the shark. The shark gives me closure.

Ugh. Game of Thrones still hasn't sunken in for me I think. I wasn't one of those parts of fandom blind to its faults and had my expectations basically in the basement, but I didn't think they'd mess up THIS bad. (And I also am not part of that group of people convinced that GRRM's ending will 1.) be super great 2.) ever happen)

Meanwhile, I was honestly shocked by The Magicians. Still pissed.

(Now, I'm not a fan anymore, but I'm REALLY looking forward to finding out how Supernatural will end, because it's almost certain that no matter what, half the fandom will hate it.)

i was in the same camp as you for GoT, didn't care about it much anymore, wanted to see how it ended: was legit surprised at how BADLY the writers fucked-up and i knew how bad they'd been since s5, but jfc. they out-badded themselves, it was impressive.

GRRM won't save it and i am not even remotely expecting the book!end to be better, if it ever happens.

(ngl i am legit looking forward to the end of SPN just for the fan-meltdowns alone, like we're expecting only one-half of the fandom to be angry. i raise you: the entire fandom bc the ending manages to piss off every camp somehow)

Yeah, perfect picture choice btw!

Very really do I watch new shows for this exact reason. This season has been a several-year exception and half of what I watch is about to be cancelled, I think.

while i've not had every show i've watched end in a way i completely liked, i've only had a few that have ended so badly it actually pissed me off. i guess for the most part i'm not that bothered by a show not giving me the exact ending *i* want and can roll with what it decides to do.

and tbh some shows were bad waaaaay before they ended, so a crappy ending isn't a surprise by that point.
