Ahaha in what way are Tokio Hotel visual kei? Two of them dress like regular teenage boys, one of them dresses like an extra in a hip hop video and if anything I'd consider Bill to be borderline oshare-kei. It makes no sense to label the entire band as something when only one of them has that quality.

I know I haven't heard it yet, but I don't get how you could label the music visual either. I don't pretend to be an expert on visual kei but there are so many sub-genres with various defining criteria and somehow they fit none of them.

Ah, yes, oshare kei. xD;; I used to be into vkei myself but sort of wandered out before all these subgenres finished evolving (as much as they'll ever finish evolving, anyway).

Anyway, this is one of the reason why the band (and its fans) mostly bring up two reactions in people actually familiar with JRock/vkei/etc.kei: "LOLOLOL" and "DO NOT WANT." :D;; Those who insist that Tokio Hotel are "visual" usually have absolutely no idea of the correct usage of the terms and of course they're not interested in learning. Ah, but I really should stop bashing them... ;;;orz

H-hey I love me some oshare-kei ): but you are right, the sub genres will never stop evolving, there are more names than I can even think of recounting but they're generally a little obscure. I am really enjoying the style that some of the bands have taken on though, always dressing really smart for shoots.

Bashing idiots like that is the only way I can even tolerate their idiocy. It bugs me too, that they have no interest in learning the correct usage of those terms.
