Just out of curiosity, how is that secret at all negative? It kinda makes me want to see the series, mostly because she looks awesome and also because I always like even the possibility of traps/reverse-traps.

Not "negative" in strict sense, as much as "we finally get Toradora! secrets, and it's stuff like this?".
Myself, I strongly recommend the series, regardless. I haven't gotten to that character yet (still at episode 1), but she probably just has a very butch voice. Like Natsuki from Mai-HiME or Etorofu from Penguin Musume, to give an example.

Ah, I sorta get that! Not like, it's a negative secret... but it's not a positive secret or saying anything good about the show, it's just kinda there and... (unrealistically) theorizing?

I'll totally have to look into it. The title's cute and the character designs I've seen so far intrigue me! And as I said in my own reply, characters with that sort of facial design ping me like anything. I don't know why. Those eyes, especially. Yes, that was my point. Especially after the first secret by an anime hater who claimed the female lead was deformed.
