Off topic, but I'm confused as to how Envy can be a racist.

Psycho, sure. But racist? No, and I'm going to be nitpicky here.

For one, Envy is derived from and made of bits of a literal construct creature who belongs to neither race involved in the genocide. Father is made from a Xerxesian's blood. The races involved in the genocide were Amestrians (perpetrators) and Ishvalans (victims). Father had already wiped out his own 'people' in the move that gave him a body and tested out his theory, sparing only the man he was made from. Well, consigning him to a fate worse than death, but the same thing.

For two, the Ishvalan war of Extermination wasn't even racially motivated for the homunculi, or for Father (or Fuhrer Bradley). It was entirely to fulfill the Crest of Blood sacrifices in strategic locations for the Nationwide Transmutation Circle. Sure, so they played off one race against each other, and the red eye/blue eye imagery is clear on this, but that's literally a ruse. In-universe, it's misdirection and a coverup for the real reason. That's the point. I mean, they also incited border-based warfare at Briggs, caused a violent uprising in Liore, did other shit in Aerugo and so on.

You can compare the two characters to a degree, but racism is a weird and thing to bring up in Envy's case.

Agreed.

I mean, I agree but some people in this fandom are really hardcore on the Ishvalan genocide being a 1:1 allegory to real life racism and calling Envy a racist because of that even if they’re a fantasy monster who hates all humans

The Ishvalan genocide is pretty 1:1 as an allegory but calling Envy racist is pretty dumb, I agree.
