I have to agree. As much as I love Yoko, she is in no way "fat," and her body proportions are still a far cry from realistic. Not that I'm really expecting that from an anime, but eh.

No. She's skin and bones, seriously. a slight bump at the hip does not = NOT skinny as all hell, to the point that, in reality, she'd probably be dying of starvation or something.

I wouldn't call her skin and bones. I'd call her skin, boobs, and bones.

i wouldn't say skin and bones. i think the point is that she's NOT completely frail and scrawny looking. she reminds me of most normal girls i see. (usual anime proportions gotta be slightly ignored sometimes)

Seriously you guys, tons of women look like that. Just because you don't doesn't mean other women don't. That's what we mean by "meat on her bones," ie. she isn't a CLAMP noodle person.

I wouldn't call that toned either. And way to make assumptions about my phyicsl appearance :D THUMBS UP.

I think your making some big general judgements about body types. Sometimes people who have big hips are skinny, in fact (minus the anime boobs) her body is very similar to that of my cousins.

Although it's not perfect, the point the OP was trying to make was that she's a lot more relateable than other anime girls.

In all fairness, Nia's body developed nicely. She had tits and a damn good ass in her purpley/pinky dress.

Yeaaaaaaah if you translated it to a real person, yes. In the world of anime, maybe not, but otherwise...

If you turned most anime characters into real people without adjusting the proportions, they'd be pretty inhuman looking, never mind their weight.

Funny, because I've got the same body type as Yoko, and my BMI is very slightly above normal because of my height. 5'1", 130 lb, distributed pretty much exactly as per that picture of the Yoko figurine.

BMI in the normal range =/= dying of starvation. Thanks.

I agree; I have friends who look around her weight and they're not unhealthy at all. :/
