It is an informal version of san used to address children and female family members. It may also be used towards animals, lovers, intimate friends, and people whom one has known since childhood. Chan continues to be used as a term of endearment, especially for girls, into adulthood... Adults may use chan as a term of endearment to women with whom they are on close terms..

There's not really a qualifier there that says "BUT THE NAME CAN'T BE SCARY." XD I know the roots of the name Belial and I see nothing wrong with "Belial-chan" if it's being, yanno, used as a term of informal endearment. I'M SORRY I DON'T MEAN TO SOUND BITCHY COS I DON'T REALLY CARE but that just bugged me cos I'm a sucker for language. The More You Know and all, right~?

121. And I watch anime and read manga mostly for the plot. The animation and drawing style helps, because I personally love most of the styles. Some people just don't get common sense things, sorry. It sucks.
