I think they had potential as couple, but the writers didn't do the best job with their relationship.

I don't read that many comics, but I love the idea of these two. And also he's one of my favorite characters. And while I do ship him with Nakia in the movies, I also wouldn't mind Storm being added and could probably ship her with him too.

They could have been a great couple, but they had to make Storm less powerful than T'Challa for some dumb macho reason (T'Challa is totally into powerful women, come on!) and it was so, so badly done.

I never attached to this ship because I learned of it while Wakanda was withholding the cure for cancer from the rest of the world so I kind of just hated Black Panther. I super resented that she was in his book and not leading the X-Men. I’m pretty sure the cancer thing has been retconned and forgotten so I could probably get into it, but NOW I’ve got MCU T’Challa in my head. If they ever introduce mutants to the MCU it might happen.
That said, I wish to subscribe to this T’Challa/Namor newsletter. I, um, am deeply in lust with Namor right now and T’Challa is way hotter than Doom. [Send help. Or Jesus.]
