Honestly, I don't know. I've never had an issue with it, but I'm not that paranoid. And I've been buying porny ebooks from Amazon for years, so they're already well aware of my reading tastes.

It just seems like it can delete your books at any time and also make you use their stuff (kind of like iphones). I just don't like that.

Now that I know you can do Amazon ebooks with Calibre, I'd go with that. Calibre is the best ebook app hands down.
