I think it's partly because I grew up in anime fandoms but nah, nah, this doesn't bother me at all. It's incredibly rare that what's being said is so plot-central that it's a deterrent to understanding the story imo.

Also, I just really enjoy it when fics have simple things like 'yes' and 'no' and 'thank you' in the language the canon is in. It IDEK helps vibe with the canon better to me?

It's the eternal sort of argument between, like, Mr. A and A-san.
