pretty sure "flipping a bit" is referring to making characters black - just changing the hex code for skin color rather than actually writing diversity

obviously it's not actually that simple, but it seems to make sense in context

I get that but OP seems to be talking more about gender / sex diversity, and I'm just not sure I get how their dysphoria intersects with the way male characters are depicted in games

I feel like 90% of male characters in games are derivative the range between spaghetti western Eastwood, edgy 70s Eastwood, and cranky old Eastwood. And I have a ton of shitty history with being expected to perform that.
