They agreed on a settlement, which is completely inconclusive either way.

Interesting, I didn't think they were allowed to reopen the settlement after it was closed like that. Good to know.

As I understand it, this current case was opened in Virginia (not California where they actually live) as it's an accusation of defamation/libel because she wrote a piece for the Washington Post (based in VA) about domestic abuse (which didn't mention him by name).So it's not a matter of reopening the case so much as relitigating the overarching scenario.
