I agree with this.

The Kiss Quotient would have been spicy hot for me if not for the prostitution. I know the author set it up as "above board" and consensual as possible, and the dude is the prostitute. But it is so outside all of the research I've done on sex work and human trafficking that I couldn't suspend my disbelief.

(Also, just a few months before, I had heard at a human trafficking conference that male sex trafficking was rampant in San Francisco.)
